The School

For over 40 years, Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, has been a destination for visual arts education in a wide range of media. Open all year, we offer an integrated program of workshops, exhibitions and events that welcome visitors and students of all ages. In addition to our workshops, we offer the following activities and evenPeninsula School of Artts, which are free and open to the public:

Faculty and Students

Peninsula School of Art boasts a faculStudents at Peninsula School of Artty of more than 100 professional artists and art educators from around the country. A typical faculty member may be an instructor from a renowned university or art college, a talented regional artist or a nationally-recognized workshop instructor. Peninsula School of Art draws students from throughout the Midwest and across the country. Workshops are offered in each skill level, with students ranging in age from three years old to retiree. Class size is small (from six to 18 students) to ensure individual attention.

The Campus

Our ten- acre campus is open to the public from 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday. There is no charge for visiting our grounds and studios, or taking in the continuous exhibitions in our Guenzel Gallery. Our state-of-the-art facilities  offer both indoor and outdoor spaces for students to work independently, or within a community with other artists. The campus is handicapped accessible. Our facilities include:

Workshops and Lectures

Throughout the year, Peninsula School of Art offers classes for the beginner, intermediate or advanced student. Workshops range from one day to two weeks in length and are open to students age 16 and up. Workshop offerings include:

  • Book Arts

Youth Arts

Our Youth Arts Program is available from early June through August. Workshops cater to students aged 3½ to eighteen years old. Most workshops are three to five days in length and two to three hours per day. Workshops include clay, painting and drawing, cartooning, animation and jewelry/metalsmithing.
